Volume of REPO transactions in Azerbaijan's securities market in 2020 increases

The total value of transactions on securities at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) made up 12.9 billion manat ($7.6 billion) in 2020, which is by 8.1 percent less than in 2019, Trend reports referring to the exchange's reporting data.

At the same time, compared to the same period of 2019, the total volume of trading in the secondary market grew by 47 percent, in the corporate securities market - by 89 percent, and in the REPO market - by 92 percent.

Besides, at the end of 2020, a growth of 71 percent was recorded in the primary stock market, and by 9 percent in the secondary stock market.

The capitalization of the BSE on the last trading day of December 2020 amounted to 3.96 billion manat ($2.33 billion).

During 2020, the mass issue of securities had been carried out mainly by AzerGold CJSC, Kapital Bank, Ferrum Capital, Bank BTB, Embafinance NBCO.
