Azerbaijani banks ramp up business lending since early 2021

The total value of business loans issued by Azerbaijani banks from January through September 2021 increased, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) told Trend.

According to the CBA, this indicator amounted to nine billion manat ($5.3 billion), up by 6.75 percent since the beginning of this year, and by 2.97 percent compared to the first nine months of 2020 (8.74 billion manat or $5.14 billion).

The loan portfolio of Azerbaijani banks as of late September this year amounted to 15.53 billion manat ($9.14 billion).

In the structure of the loan portfolio, 4.23 billion manat ($2.49 billion) accounted for consumer loans, and 2.29 billion manat ($1.35 billion) - mortgage loans.
