The consumer price index in Azerbaijan in 2021-2024 forecasted to amount to less than four percent, Trend reports referring to S&P Global Ratings.
According to S&P Global Ratings, the rise in fuel and food prices in the Caucasus and Central Asia in 2021 prompted most central banks to tighten their policies.
In addition, it is noted that inflation in the regions will be moderate next year.
In the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia region, which in addition to Azerbaijan includes Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia and Russia, inflation in 2021-2024 will be lowest in Azerbaijan, and highest in Uzbekistan (on average, over 10 percent).
Earlier it was reported that the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan in 10M2021 amounted to 5.7 percent.
