Construction of a technology park in Baku is planned for 2018, a source in Azerbaijan’s High Technologies Park told Trend.
The previously planned work on the technology park was suspended due to funding issues, according to the source.
The technology park’s activities will focus primarily on supporting start-up projects, as well as IT and internet solutions.
It was earlier reported that preparation of documents and all procedures related to the project are being coordinated with the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.
The technology park’s building, with a total area of around 7,000 square meters, will host its head office, a business incubation center, a co-working center, laboratories, etc.
