Cable and sewage infrastructure of Baku Telephone Communication LLC will be protected from unauthorized access, a source in Azerbaijan’s telecommunications market told Trend.
Special devices will be used in manholes of the cable and sewage infrastructure, which will automatically notify the operator about the attempts of unauthorized access, according to the source.
“Such devices are already used in test mode in the central part of Baku,” said the source. “It is planned to equip all manholes with such devices.”
Presently, the operator continues work to optimize cable and sewage infrastructure and the work in this direction is planned to be completed until the end of the year. The optimization involves joining or decommissioning cable lines. Only out-of-service equipment and cables, which may cause accidents, are decommissioned.
