A seminar on international experience in the introduction of digital technologies was held at the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), Trend reports referring to the UIET.
The seminar was organized by the local Imdat Electronika company, with the participation of their Turkish partner Telekom Telekomunikasion.
The training was conducted by expert Mustafa Afyonluoglu, who also specializes in the field of cybersecurity. The event was attended by the representatives of the working group on digital economy under the Turkmen Parliament and a number of Turkmen ministries, departments, banks and entrepreneurs.
Digital services used in various areas of the state and society in Turkmenistan were presented at the training. The importance of digital economy in the progressive socio-economic development of the country and the impact on employment were emphasized, according to the source.
In March, a meeting was held in between the UEIT and the representatives of Turkey’s Inovera company, also specializing in the field of digital technology. Turkmenistan initiated the implementation of the Concept of Development of Digital Economy for 2019-2025 in early 2019. It aims at increasing business and investment activity, introducing advanced methods of government, and creating new jobs. In addition, the country stimulates the development of telemedicine, online education, distance learning and e-government tools.
