The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution providing for organization of specialized technological park of information technologies in Andijan region, Trend reports with reference to National Database of Legislation of Uzbekistan.
The management of the Technopark activity is carried out by the Directorate of Digital City Technopark at the foundation of Andijan region administration.
The new Technopark will be responsible for the formation of a portfolio of orders, as well as the development of competitive products and services in the field of ICT, their promotion in domestic and foreign markets.
In addition, the Technopark will carry out mutual integration of the activities of scientific, research, educational and production organizations to ensure continuity in the chain of high-tech products and services.
The new Technology Park will assist start-ups and small businesses in implementing ICT start-up projects, commercializing innovation results and assisting national developers in attracting domestic and foreign investors, including through the transfer of technology and software products.
Technopark will also be responsible for developing "digital entrepreneurship" through the introduction of digital technologies in agriculture, water management, education, health care, banking and other sectors of the region.
Investments to finance this activity is assigned from the budget of Andijan region administration.
