BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. As many as 1.458 million foreigners and stateless persons from 177 countries visited Azerbaijan from January through November 2022, increasing by 2.1 times year over year, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.

Out of the total number of foreign visitors, 27.1 percent came from Russia, 19.4 percent – from Türkiye, 10.8 percent – from Iran, 6.4 percent – from Saudi Arabia, five percent – from Georgia, 3.2 percent – from Pakistan, 3.6 percent – from India, 2.2 percent – from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

A total of 1.9 percent of foreigners and stateless persons accounted for Kazakhstan, 1.8 percent – for Ukraine, 1.6 percent – for Israel, 1.4 percent – for Kuwait, 1.6 percent – for Uzbekistan, 1.2 percent – for Oman, 1.2 percent – for Belarus, and 11 percent – for other countries.

In the reporting period, the number of guests from Oman increased by 33.8 times, Saudi Arabia – by 17.2 times, Kuwait – by 22.4 times, the UAE – by 3.3 times, Israel – by 3.9 times, Pakistan – by 20.5 times, India – by 13.5 times, the US – three times, Germany – 2.6 times, France – 2.1 times, Kazakhstan – 4.9 times, Russia – 1.8 times, the UK – 1.9 times, Ukraine – 1.6 times, Iran – 40.5 percent, Türkiye – 1.6 times, and Georgia – by 29.5 percent.
