ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 10. Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $91.1 billion from January through August 2023, said Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov at a government meeting, Trend reports.
As he noted, this figure exceeds the same period last year by 4.2 percent.
"Exports reached $51.2 billion, including processed goods – $16.2 billion, imports – $39.8 billion," he said.
According to Kuantyrov, in general, the positive trade balance of Kazakhstan is $11.4 billion.
The meeting also reviewed the results of the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan and the execution of the republican budget from January through September of the current year.
Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover from January through December 2022 amounted to $134.437 billion and compared to the same period of 2021 in nominal terms increased by 32.1 percent, including exports - $84.4 billion (in nominal terms by 39.9 percent more), imports - $50.04 billion (in nominal terms, 20.8 percent more).
