BAKU. Azerbaijan. February 23. The horned cattle in Osh region of Kyrgyzstan amounted to 397,288 in 2022, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

The figure increased by 7,984 in the reporting period, compared to 389,304 in 2021.

According to the statistics, Osh region of Kyrgyzstan had the largest share of 22.3 percent of the total amount of horned cattle across the country.

In overall, the number of horned cattle in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1.7 million in 2022, with an increase of 33,002 compared to 2021.

Some 371,686 of horned cattle was registered in Kyrgyzstan’s Jalal-Abad region, 314,181 in Chuy region, 272,647 in Issyk-Kul region, 144,851 heads in Batken region, 69,101 in Talas region.

Meanwhile, in the reporting period, the number of sheep and goats in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 6.2 million, slightly decreasing from 6.27 million in 2021; pigs – to 25,640 from 29,508 in 2021; horses – to 533,979 from 547,253 in 2021, camels – 250 from 261 in 2021, donkeys – to 26,829 from 27,613, bunnies – 17,412 from 20, 377 in 2021, bee colonies – 143,145 from 149,127 in 2021.

At the same time, the number of poultry in the country increased by 7.5 percent, up to 6.3 million in 2022, from 5.9 million in the preceding year.
