Kyrgyzstan notes increase in volume of market services

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. The volume of market services provided by the economic entitles of Kyrgyzstan amounted to 61.1 billion soms ($702 million) in January 2023, of these, to the population were provided services for 43 billion soms ($491 million), Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the committee, the volume of services increased by 13.2 percent from 45.1 billion soms ($515 million) in the same month of 2022.

The services mainly were provided in the field of the wholesale and retail trade in cars and motorcycles, including repair services - 42 billion soms ($480 million), of these, services for 29 billion soms ($331 million) were provided for the population.

In the reporting period, the value of services provided in the wholesale and retail trade, and repair of cars and motorcycles increased by 11 percent over 32 billion soms ($366 million) in January 2022.

During the period, the volume of market services has increased in all regions of the country. The largest growth of 18 percent was registered in the Chuy region – 9.4 billion soms ($107 million) in January 2023, from 7 billion soms ($80 million) in January 2022.

Notably, in the same month of the previous year, there was a decrease in the volume of market services in the region.

According to the statistics, the volume of market services provided by economic entitles of Kyrgyzstan made up 1.1 trillion soms ($12.5 billion) from January through December 2022, which is an increase of 7 percent over 858 billion soms ($9 billion) in 2021.
