BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 4. Kyrgyzstan imported 12,164 tons of agricultural products from June 23 to June 29, 2023, Trend reports.
As the data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan show, the Chuy region played a pivotal role, exporting 7,993 tons of agricultural products. Of them, 3,531 tons of vegetables were exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Poland, and Ukraine.
The Osh region contributed significantly to the country's agricultural exports on the flip side, shipping out 2,531 tons of products, including 1,185 tons of fruits and vegetables to Russia.
Another 1,333 tons of agricultural products were exported from the Talas region. A total of 1,052.2 tons of legumes from Talas reached Russia, Serbia, Iran, Bulgaria, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Georgia.
Furthermore, some 154 tons of agricultural products were exported from the Batken region. Of them, 72 tons of barley were exported to Uzbekistan.
The Jalal-Abad region contributed to agricultural exports with 153 tons of products. This week, 131 tons of capers were sent to Türkiye, and 19 tons of dried apples were shipped to Germany.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the gross output of agriculture in the country, including forestry and fishing, amounted to 71.103 billion soms ($814.4 million) from January through May 2023.
