BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 14. The inflation rate in Tajikistan is estimated at 0.9 percent in March 2023, Trend reports with reference to the National Bank of Tajikistan.
The bank said the inflation rate in Tajikistan was at the level of 0.5 percent in February 2023, and 0.4 percent in January 2023.
Meanwhile, the annual inflation rate in Tajikistan amounted to 3.6 percent in March this year.
The National Bank’s target inflation rate for 2023 remains within 6 percent (±2 percentage points), as it has been over the past few years.
At the same time, the World Bank (WB) expects inflation in Tajikistan to remain within the National Bank’s target range from 4 to 8 percent, supported by tight monetary policy. The inflation rate in Tajikistan is estimated by WB at 6.6 percent in 2022.
