BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. Consumer price inflation in Turkmenistan for 2023 is projected at 6.7 percent, Trend reports, citing the latest Regional Economic Outlook from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
According to the information, in the previous IMF forecast, Turkmenistan's consumer price inflation was projected at 11.3 percent.
The IMF adds that Turkmenistan's consumer price inflation in 2024 will be 10.7 percent.
Furthermore, according to the IMF, Turkmenistan's consumer price inflation in 2022 amounted to 11.5 percent, in 2021 - 19.5 percent, and in 2020 it amounted to 6.1 percent.
In the previous forecast, IMF analysts expected a further decrease in the inflation rate in Turkmenistan in 2028 to 10 percent, and the forecast for 2027 was 8 percent.
