Uzbekistan’s crop production for 9M2020 increases

The volume of crop production in Uzbekistan from January through September 2020 amounted to 84.3 trillion soums ($8.14 billion), increasing by 4.3 percent compared to the same period in 2019, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee.

The share of crop production in the total volume of agricultural production amounted to 48.4 percent.

The volume of grain produced by all farms categories in Uzbekistan for 9M2020 amounted to 6,667,100 tons. (an increase of 2.4 percent compared to 9M2019). It was revealed that 82.6 percent of the total volume of grain production falls on the share of farms. 

The volume of vegetables produced in Uzbekistan for the reported period amounted to 7,630,400 tons. (an increase of 2.7 percent compared to 9M2019). The total volume of vegetables production falls on the share of farms amounting to 76.9 percent.

As for potatoes, the volume of this product produced for 9M2020 amounted to 2,432,700 tons (an increase of 1.6 percent compared to 9M2019). The total volume of potatoes production falls on the share of dekhkan (personal subsidiary) amounting to 86.2 percent.

The volume of melon produced in Uzbekistan for 9M2020 amounted to 1,399,100 tons. (an increase of 4.2 percent compared to 9M2019). The total volume of melons production falls on the share of dekhkan farms amounting to 64.1 percent.

Uzbekistan produced 2,067,700 tons of fruits and berries for 9M2020 (an increase of 3.9 percent compared to 9M2019). The total volume of fruits and berries production falls on the share of dekhkan farms amounting to 61.3 percent.

In addition, 1,275,300 tons of grapes were produced in Uzbekistan for 9M2020 (an increase of 3.2 percent compared 9M2019). It was revealed that 55.4 percent of the total volume of grapes production falls on the share of dekhkan farms.
