The total market capitalization of companies on the stock exchange in Uzbekistan has grown in February 2021, Trend reports referring to the stock exchange review for February published by the Toshkent Republican Stock Exchange.
According to the review, most transactions were made with common shares of Quartz (KVTS) - 574 transactions. The top five also included common shares of Kyzylkumcent (QZSM), Hamkorbank (HMKB), Uzpromstroybank (SQBN) and Uzbek Commodity Exchange (URTS).
At the same time, the largest volume was again recorded with the preferred shares of Kapitalbank (KPBA1) - three deals were concluded, the price of which ranged from 3,906 to 3,930 soums ($0.37). The weighted average amounted to 3,915 soums ($0.37) with the par share price of 950 soums ($0.09).
It is reported that the total market capitalization of companies on the stock exchange increased by 90 percent and amounted to 113.3 trillion soums ($10.8). The reason, to a greater extent, was the unnatural rise in the price of common shares of Universal Sugurta (UNSU).
In addition, the greatest growth was shown by common shares of UzEX (URTS) increasing by 52.68 percent. Preferred shares of Uzbekgeofizik (UZG1) increased by 20.39 percent, and Kyzylkumcent (QZSM) - by 20 percent.
Also, the rise in prices for common and preferred shares of Uzmetkombinat (UZMK) and (UZM1) amounted to 15.15 percent and 18.34 percent, respectively. A relatively small growth was shown by common shares of Kokand Mechanical Plant - 2.16 percent.
At the same time, the quotation of common shares of Uzpromstroybank (SQBN) decreased by 1.27 percent. The price of common shares of Quartz (KVTS) by 1.41 percent. Common shares of Ipoteka Bank (IPTB) and Hamkorbank lost 8.14 percent and 21.19 percent respectively.
