Uzbekistan intends to establish investment cooperation and the implementation of new projects with Japan in the leather and footwear industry, Trend reports citing the press service of Uzbek Uzcharmsanoat association.
The association held a meeting with a delegation of entrepreneurs from the Japanese city of Nagoya.
During the meeting, Japanese Chiikimittyaku Co. Ltd showed particular interest in cooperation with Uzbekistan.
The parties also discussed the issues of attracting brands from Japan for the development of the leather and footwear industry in Uzbekistan, popularizing domestic products in international markets.
The head of the Japanese company noted that they are ready to assist the enterprises of Uzbekistan in equipping them with modern Japanese technologies for processing leather and improving the skills of technologists at Uzbek enterprises.
