BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 27. Uzbekistan has imported 734 electric cars worth $21.8 million from 10 countries, from January through April 2022, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The import of electric cars increased by about 5.2 times or 594 units compared to the same period last year.
During this period, most of the electric cars were imported from China in the amount of 654 units.
The main countries that exported electric cars to Uzbekistan from January through April 2022 were: UAE (40), Germany (17), Lithuania (6), Estonia (2), South Korea (2).
Uzbekistan has imported 455 electric cars in the amount of $13.5 million from 9 countries from January through March 2022.
The country imported 809 electric cars in the amount of $16.9 million from 11 countries in 2021. The import of electric cars increased by 679 units or 6.2 times compared to 2020.
