BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 17. Uzbekistan has imported 1,499 electric cars worth $46.4 million from January through August 2022, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The import of electric cars increased by about 1,003 units compared to the same period last year.
During this period, most of the electric cars were imported from China in the amount of 1,300 units, followed by the UAE (110), Germany (34), other countries (19).
The country imported 809 electric cars in the amount of $16.9 million from 11 countries in 2021. The import of electric cars increased by 679 units or 6.2 times compared to 2020.
