BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 27. Uzbekistan has exported 171,000 tons of onion worth $28.6 million to 15 countries from January through September 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
Onion exports decreased by 33,800 tons compared to the corresponding period last year.
The biggest amount of onion was exported from the country’s Jizzakh region, which amounted to 32,300 tons, followed by the Khorezm region (24,100 tons), the Tashkent region (20,000 tons) and Samarkand region (19,600 tons).
During this period, most of the onion was exported to Kazakhstan in the amount of 133,500 tons, followed by Russia (17,200 tons), Kyrgyzstan (10,800 tons), Pakistan (5,100 tons).
