BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 5. Uzbekistan’s Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) have over-fulfilled the production plan by 2.3 percent during the first quarter of 2023, Trend reports via AMMC’s statement.

AMMC planned to manufacture commodity products worth 6.8 trillion soums ($598.9 million), while the output figure was brought up to 6.9 trillion soums ($612.8 million).

According to the statement, the combine also exceeded the manufacture of products for customer use – an exceed of 6.6 percent (products worth 1.6 billion soums or $147,757 over the planned 1.5 trillion soums or $138,604).

During the first quarter, AMMC also over-fulfilled the production of metallic zinc from its raw materials by 2.4 percent, as well as the extraction and processing of polymetallic and gold-bearing ores.

In 2022, AMMC produced commodity products worth 30.5 trillion soums ($2.7 billion). This figure decreased by 0.66 percent, compared to the figure for 2021.

During the reporting period, the combine produced copper cathode (148,510 tons), followed by gold (17,200 tons), silver (161,200 tons), zinc (91,360 tons), sulfuric acid (824,227 tons), as well as rare metals, such as molybdenum (1,177 tons), and tungsten (33,800 tons).

AMMC contributed 18.6 trillion soums ($1.6 billion) to the country’s budget in 2022.
