Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said such "terrorist attempts" would just serve the aims of enemies of peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Karzai escaped injury in the attack, which claimed the lives of two people and left eight injured. The Taliban is being held responsible for the attack.
