Envoy: Iran does not implement UNSC resolutions

Iran's Ambassador and permanent representative in International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA)  Ali Asghar Soltaniehon Friday said that UN Security Council resolutions have been issued in violation of international laws and Iran will never implement them, IRNA reported.

Speaking in a press conference here to Russian and foreign reporters, Ali Asghar Soltanieh said that Iran will never implement the United Nations Security Council resolutions, because 'they do not have a legal base and have been issued in violation of international laws'.

He underlined that the UNSC, which is working as an instrument in the hands of western powers, including the USA, and is an instrument to impose pressure against Iran, is faced with impasse.

Meanwhile, he added that Iran is ready to help the Security Council to exit from this situation, 'if the western countries, and first of all the US, quits imposing pressures against related organizations, such as the Security Council and IAEA, and let them fulfill their political goals'.

Soltanieh said that Tehran is ready for holding negotiations concerning all issues of international agenda, such as disarmament, non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and exchanging Iran's nuclear fuel.

The Iranian ambassador to IAEA, in another press conference here on Thursday, had said that Iran is not afraid of any kind of threat and that Iran will not stop its uranium enrichment program.

Soltanieh has been in Moscow since Wednesday for a 3-day visit for explaining Iran's nuclear stances and its peaceful nuclear activities.
During the 3-day visit, Soltanieh is scheduled to talk and interview with a number of Russian TV networks as well as Russian media officials.
