A relatively strong tremor measuring 4.5 degrees on the open-ended Richter scale jolted Khousf City in South Khorasan province late Saturday evening, IRNA reported.
According to the report of Seismography Center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 23:15 hours local time ( 19:45 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 32.18 degrees latitude and 58.98 degrees longitude and in depth of 10 kilometers underground.
Khousf located in 79 kilometers west of Birjand, is the capital city of South Khorasan province.
There is no immediate report on possible casualty or damages.
