Iran cautions Iraqi Kurdish leaders against speaking about autonomy

Deputy foreign minister for the Arab-African affairs said on Sunday that the wise Iraqi Kurdish leaders are not thinking about autonomy, adding that certain parties speaking of splitting Iraq, are not aware of the consequences, IRNA reported.

Deputy foreign minister for the Arab-African affairs said on Sunday that the wise Iraqi Kurdish leaders are not thinking about autonomy, adding that certain parties speaking of splitting Iraq, are not aware of the consequences, IRNA reported.

Talking to IRNA, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran underlines respecting Iraqˈs independence, national sovereignty and solidarity and territorial integrity in line with the countryˈs Constitution.

Wise Iraqi Kurdish leaders do not consider autonomy and adhere to the countryˈs Constitution, he said.

Leftovers of Saddam and Takfiri terrorists will not be allowed to put the Iraqi and regional security at risk, Amir-Abdollahian said.
