Iran’s South Zagros Oil & Gas Production Company to commission new wells

Six oil and gas wells will be put into operation in the territory of the Iran’s South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) in the current Iranian year (began March 20, 2020), said SZOGPC's Managing Director Hamid Izadi, Trend reports referring to the company’s official website.

According to Izadi, four gas wells will be commissioned at Dalan, Homa, Shanol and Tabnak fields, and two oil wells will be commissioned at Saadat Abad oil field.

The managing director added that at present, development well No. 23 has been put into operation at the Homa gas field and 500,000 cubic meters of gas is extracted per day from this well.

The official said that by the end of the year, four wells in the Aghar, Dalan and Shanol gas fields will be repaired and returned to production.

The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company is one of three subsidiaries of Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The company operates at five sites in Fars, Bushehr and Hormozgan Provinces. The company produces about 60 billion cubic meters of gas and 20 million barrels of oil and gas condensate a year.
