TOTAL reveals plans for Absheron gas field in Azerbaijan

The French Total company has completed the preliminary Front End Engineering Design (FEED) of Absheron gas condensate field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, Eric Meyer, planning development manager at TOTAL Exploration & Production Azerbaijan B.V. said. He made the remarks at the 3rd Azerbaijan and Caspian Sea Oil & Gas Week 2015 conference in Baku.

We are also working over establishment of JOCAP (joint operating company Absheron petroleum), where 50 percent will be SOCAR's (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) share and the other 50 - TOTAL's, Meyer said.

Turkmenistan attracting foreign partners to develop offshore fields

A two-day "Oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan - opportunities for investments" forum begins its work in London, said the message of the ministry of petroleum and mineral resources of Turkmenistan.

"Special emphasis will be placed on expanding international cooperation in the development of hydrocarbon resources of the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, as well as the possibilities of their transportation to the world markets," said the message.

The participants of the round table will be informed about the new plans of Turkmen government on innovations in the legislation and opportunities for cooperation with foreign investors.

Shell, Total permitted to establish 200 gas stations in Iran

Shell and Total have been permitted to establish 200 gas stations in Iran.

Bijan Hajmohammad-Reza, chairman of the association of Iranian gas station owners, said Shell and Total each will establish 100 gas stations in Tehran and other parts of the country, Mehr news agency reported.

He also said that negotiations are underway with a number of oil refineries to sell and rent some oil storage facilities and gas stations.
