Public budget of Azerbaijan (January-November 2016)

Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues reached 12,965.5 million manat, while expenses – 13,927.4 million manat in January-November 2016, the country’s State Statistics Committee said citing the finance ministry.

As a result, the state budget deficit was estimated at 961.9 million manat or 1.7 percent of GDP. For comparison, as of October 1, the index was 519.1 million manat.

GDP was estimated at 54,433.1 million manat in January-November.

The law on state budget for 2016 envisages the revenues worth 16.822 billion manat, expenses worth 18.495 billion manat and deficit not exceeding 1.673 billion manat for the entire year.

The country’s Ministry of Taxes transferred 6,295.813 million manat to the state budget in January-November 2016.

During the reporting period, some 127,180 taxpayers were registered by the Azerbaijani taxes ministry.

The number of taxpayers increased by 20.4 percent in November.

The Taxes Ministry plans to transfer 7.01 billion manat to the state budget for 2016. Thus, the annual forecast was fulfilled by 89.8 percent.

The country’s State Customs Committee transferred almost 2.06 billion manat to the state budget in January-November 2016, which is by 48.2 percent more than in the same period of 2015.

In general, the customs revenues worth 1.81 billion manat are planned to be transferred to the Azerbaijani state budget for 2016. As of January-November, the State Customs Committee exceeded the forecast by 250 million manat.

Some 546.64 million manat account for customs duties, 1.37 billion manat - VAT, 86.56 million manat - excise and 56.55 million manat - road tax in January-November 2016.
