Public budget of Azerbaijan (January-October 2017)

According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, the country’s state budget was executed with deficit in January-October 2017.

Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues reached 13,557.2 million manat, while expenses – 14,150.2 million manat in January-October 2017, the country’s State Statistics Committee said.

The state budget deficit in the amount of 593 million manat is equal to 1 percent of Azerbaijan’s GDP.

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR transferred more than 1.3 billion manat to the state budget in January-October 2017 that is 13.3 percent (152.44 million manat) more than in the same period of 2016.

The company transferred 136.95 million manat to the state budget in October 2017.

SOCAR transfers to the State Social Protection Fund amounted to almost 125.5 million manat in January-October 2017 that is 5.1 percent (6.13 million manat) more than in the same period of 2016.

The company transferred 13.07 million manat to the State Social Protection Fund in October 2017.

Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee transferred about 2.17 billion manat to the state budget in January-October 2017 that is by 17.9 percent more than in the same period of 2016, reads the Committee’s report.

The Committee transferred more than 217 million manat to the budget in October 2017. Revenues from customs duties amounted to 67.37 million manat, revenues from value added tax (VAT) hit 138.18 million manat, revenues from excise duty amounted to 8.54 million manat, and revenues from highway-user tax were 2.93 million manat in October.

Revenues from the customs duties increased by 18 percent in October 2017 compared to October 2016. Revenues from VAT rose by 17.5 percent, revenues from excise duty rose by 45.2 percent and revenues from highway-user tax increased by 17.7 percent.

The forecast on customs revenues of Azerbaijan’s state budget is 2.25 billion manat for 2017.

Revenues of Azerbaijan’s state budget have been approved in the amount of 16.766 billion manat, expenses – 17.941 billion manat for 2017.
