Maulen Ashimbaev's resignation is one of the most important events in the political life of Kazakhstan, the Chief Editor of the Vestnik Kavkaza and Trend Expert Council Member Alexei Vlasov said.
"One of the long-lived persons, the man who led the ideological direction in the state institutions was often "sent to resignation" by local media outlets, but always stayed on the previous post, even under the most massive rotation of personnel in Ak Orda," Vlasov told Trend.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has signed an order to dismiss the deputy head of presidential administration Ashimbaev Maulen Sagathanuly in connection with shifting to another post, the press service of Ak Orda reported.
Also, upon presidential order, Mailybaev Baghlan Asaubaevich was dismissed from his post of press secretary of the president in connection with his transfer to another office.
Under another presidential order, Mailybaev Baghlan Asaubaevich was appointed deputy head of presidential administration.
Ashimbaev's withdrawal from the administration can mean President Nazarbayev's dissatisfaction with the affairs in the sphere of ideological support for the current phase of reforms and preparations for pre-term elections to Majilis, which will be conducted by a new team with new ideas, the expert said.
An illustrative decision of the President will be appointment to Ashimbaev's place, Vlasov said.
According to him, depending on who of the inner circles of State Head will be responsible for this important direction of work (the problem of state language, activation of national-patriots, debates on the law on religion), it will be possible to determine the vector of change in the near future.
"Appointing Baghlan to this post does not answer the question in what direction the course of government in the ideological field will change. We can assume that the role of other centers of power, for example the Nur Otan NDP, will increase in addressing these issues," said Vlasov.
