The Adjarian law enforcement bodies have detained the chief of the Batumi ambulance centre. The TV-25 company reported that Nika Tevzadze was detained as a result of the checks carried out by the Control Chamber.
Law enforcement bodies have not made any comments, but medical staff said that the detention is related to financial irregularities.
Nika Tevzadze has been heading the Batumi ambulance centre for 10 years. The centre subordinated to the Finance Ministry of the Adjarian Autonomous Republic.
