During his visit to France, Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II will visit the UNESCO office where he intends to raise the issue of Georgian cathedrals located in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. As the Georgian Church head secretary Mikhail Botkoveli told reporters, this issue has already been agreed.
Botkoveli said that in recent times it is being continuously reported that churches located there are destroyed.
According to Botkoveli, Ilia II will attend a charity concert of the Paata Burchuladze International Charity Foundation 'Iavnana' in Paris on May 18.
During the visit, Ilia II will also meet with Georgians living in France and will visit the Georgian cemetery.
