Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze hopes for simplification of the visa regime with Russia. As the minister told reporters following the meeting of Georgian Prime Minister's Special Representative Zurab Abashidze and First Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigory Karasin in Prague, the visa regime with Russia "can be simplified".
She stressed that Georgian Foreign Ministry official also attended the second meeting of the parties, held in Prague on Friday.
"Consultations are being held on visa facilitation with Russia," Panjikidze stressed.
She stressed that at this time Grigory Karasin and Zurab Abashidze's meeting was "more focused". Panjikidze said tha visa regime with Russia may be simplified, but not cancelled, and soon there will be concrete results in this regard.
