Representatives of Georgia's presidential candidate from the ruling Georgian Dream Coalition Giorgi Margvelashvily officially filed an application to the Central Election Commission on Tuesday.
The application for registration as a presidential candidate was submitted by representatives of the candidate, Irina Imerlishvili and Lasha Abashidze.
To date, the CEC has received 34 applications for registration as presidential candidates with one candidate being registered and two - rejected.
The United National Movement candidate David Bakradze has also filed an application to the CEC.
Presidential elections in Georgia will be held on October 27, whereas registration will be completed on September 17.
