State Minister of Georgia for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili has met with NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia, James Appathurai at NATO's headquarters.
During the meeting the parties discussed the democratic processes in Georgia and preparations for the presidential election, the press office of Georgia's State Minister told Trend.
NATO Secretary General's Special Representative stressed the alliance's readiness to further support Georgia's integration into the Euro-Atlantic space.
"The democratic processes in Georgia are developing in a positive manner. We hope this will be adequately reflected in the decisions of NATO's upcoming summit and Georgia will become a member of the alliance soon." Appathurai said.
