At least 11 killed, 32 wounded in Baghdad clashes

At least 11 people were killed and 32 wounded during intense clashes early Friday in the Sadr City section of Baghdad, media reports said.

In the early hours of Friday, intense clashes broke out in the Shiite Sadr city eastern the Iraqi capital, al-Arabiya news channel reported.

Over the past two weeks, US and Iraqi troops have been involved in deadly fighting with gunmen during incursions into several areas in Sadr City, dpa reported.
