Verne Troyer, the dwarf actor who most famously played the character Mini-Me in the last two Austin Powers movies, has filed a multimillion-dollar federal lawsuit against celebrity website TMZ.com for posting snippets of a sex tape he made sometime over the last year with a model. ( dpa )
Troyer, who stands just 80 centimetres tall, also sued sex-tape king Kevin Blatt, a broker in celebrity sex tapes, who he alleged is trying to sell the video for 100,000 dollars.
Troyer, 39, filed the lawsuits in federal court in Los Angeles and also asked for an injunction to bar further distribution of the tape. Troyer is alleging violation of privacy, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, violation of right to publicity and misappropriation of name and likeness.
Troyer, who currently appears in the Mike Myers movie The Love Guru, is seeking 20 million dollars in damages, as well as attorneys' fees and an injunction prohibiting any further showing of the video.
