State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigoriy Karasin met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amankeldy Zhumabayev, the Russian Foreign Ministry said today.
Issues of bilateral cooperation in connection with the forthcoming 20th Anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the countries and signing the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed. The high degree of coordinated action of Russian and Kazakhstan to form the Customs Union and Common Economic Space was also noted, the statement said.
Both sides also exchanged views on the relations of Russia and Kazakhstan with other CIS countries.
