Man threatens suicide in front of Turkish Parliament
A man has threatened to commit suicide in front of an entrance to the Turkish Parliament by holding a gun to his head inside a car.
The man, identified as Ö.F.B., reportedly said he had been defrauded by the mafia and asked for help from Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The car was surrounded by police officers, who are continuing attempts to dissuade the man from killing himself.
A psychologist from Parliament's medical center has also joined the dissuasion efforts, which have been continuing for more than an hour.
A security cordon was formed at the scene of the incident.
