Turkey's Minister of Customs and Trade Bulent Tufekci hopes that the crisis in relations with Russia will be resolved by March 2016, Milliyet newspaper reported.
The minister believes that there is already some warming in Ankara-Moscow relations, adding that following the incident with Russian SU-24 bomber, Turkey spoke for normalization of relations.
Relations between Moscow and Ankara deteriorated significantly after Turkish Air Force shot down a Russian Su-24 bomber in Turkey's airspace Nov. 24.
Earlier, Moscow's envoy in Ankara, Andrei Karlov said that Turkey should meet three conditions for normalization of relations with Russia.
"Turkey should apologize to Russia over the incident involving the downed aircraft," Karlov said.
He noted that the other two conditions are finding and punishing the perpetrators of the incident, and compensating for the damage to the Russian side.
Following the incident, Turkey's Foreign Ministry said that Ankara is not going to compensate for the downed Russian plane.
