The Azerbaijani parliament took a decision regarding the resolution of the European Parliament Sept. 14.
According to this decision, the European Parliament's resolution on Azerbaijan shows that the campaign of discrediting Azerbaijan is extremely offensive.
According to the decision, after the European Parliament new staff started its activity in September 2014, the cooperation with Azerbaijan failed due to the chairman of the European Parliament. The chairman of the European Parliament unofficially imposed a ban on MEPs' visits to Azerbaijan.
It is stressed that the requirements made in the resolution against Azerbaijan have no legal basis.
It is also stressed that the ongoing problem of migrants, racism and xenophobia in Europe reached their peak. The norms of the international law were violated. In all resolutions the European Parliament allegedly refers to the decisions of the European courts. But despite the European Court of Justice's verdict over "Chiragovs against Armenia", it has not been executed yet. The attempts are being made to raise doubts about the results of the election to be held in Azerbaijan.
In its decision, the Azerbaijani Parliament informed the European Parliament that it will always protect human rights and freedom and proceed from the democratic principles.
The Azerbaijani Parliament decided to stop the activity of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.
In its decision, the Azerbaijani Parliament called for putting an end to the destructive actions, the biased campaign against Azerbaijan. It called for taking positive actions toward Azerbaijan and preventing the actions harmful to the credibility of the European Parliament.
The decision was adopted as a result of the voting.
