SOCAR’s activity in Georgia in 2014 discussed in Tbilisi

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with President of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) Rovnag Abdullayev Dec. 25.

The meeting was devoted to the company's activity in Georgia in 2014, the Georgian government told Trend.

At the beginning of the meeting Abdullayev conveyed President Aliyev's greetings to Garibashvili.

The sides discussed the course of implementing the Southern Gas Corridor project. It was stressed that in this project Georgia has one of the main roles as a transit country.

The project implementation began in September 2014.

The head of SOCAR's representative office in Georgia Mahir Mammadov and Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia Azer Huseyn attended the meeting.
