Georgia and EBRD to continue joint projects

On April 11, the Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili discussed with members of the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) the joint projects being realized in Georgia with the bank’s support, the Prime Minister’s administration stated on Thursday.

On April 11, the Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili discussed with members of the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) the joint projects being realized in Georgia with the bank's support, the Prime Minister's administration stated on Thursday.

According to the statement, to date, the EBRD has allocated $ 1.8 billion for all of its projects in Georgia.

The two sides expressed their willingness to continue cooperation.

The delegation of the EBRD consists of members of the Bank Board of Directors Memduh Akçay, Enrique Bal, Clara Krol, Giorgio Vesel, Vassili Lelakis, Jan Maas, Jonathan Ockenden, Eoin Ryan, Joachim Schwarzer and Artem Shevalev. The administration of the bank arrived in Georgia on April 10.

During his visit, the bank's delegation will hold a meeting with businessmen, representatives of the diplomatic corps, international financial institutions, banks and civil society.
