Tbilisi, Georgia, Dec. 25

By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

Georgia's law "On electric power and natural gas" is being amended in connection with the new rules regulating the electricity transit.

In particular, the draft law's discussion that kicked off in the Georgian parliament on Dec. 25, touches upon the issues of payment for electricity transit.

According to amendments to the law, in the case of non-payment for the electricity transit, the rate, set by the commission, will not apply to electricity transit through the territory of Georgia and dispatcher services.

The draft law also provides for the implementation of a single accounting and bookkeeping system on electricity supplying for licensees.
