SOCAR to increase allocations to state budget of Azerbaijan in 2013

"In 2013, The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) allocated 1.57 billion manats to the state budget, which is more than in 2012", SOCAR said on Monday.

According to the information, last year, SOCAR allocated 162. 91 million manats or 10, 48 percent, which is 2.98 percent higher than in 2012, to the State Social Protection Fund of the country.

Azneft (it has two oil-processing plants), Azerkimya (enterprises of chemical industry), Azerigas (distribution of gas) production unions are parts of SOCAR.

The State Oil Company is the only producer of oil products in the country, and it also owns gasoline stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland.

SOCAR is the co-owner of the biggest Turkish petrochemical complex Petkim.

The official rate for Jan. 13 is 0,7844 AZN/USD.
