Iran-Austria annual trade volume over 220 mln Euros

Trade value of Iran-Australia hit 225 million Euros in 2013, which is expected to increase eight to ten per cent by the end of 2014, IRNA reported referring to Austrian Embassy's Cultural Attaché George Wean Gartner.

"About 50 per cent of Austria's exports to Iran are comprised of medicine," he said.

Referring to the diversity of the goods included in the two countries' trade, Gartner said that Vienna's prediction on its annual trade volume with Tehran for the year 2013 was 217 million Euros.

On objectives for the bilateral trade in 2014, too, he said that during the first six months of 2014 that volume increased 15 per cent compared with the same period the previous year, and it is expected to increase between 8 to 10 per cent by the end of the year.
