Lieutenant Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Force Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari announced that the home-made military helicopter will be deployed in the upcoming military maneuvers codenamed 'Prophet Mohammad' (PBUH), IRNA reported.
'The Iranian Ground Force will use its most up-to-date weapons in the upcoming maneuver,' Brigadier General Heidari said on Thursday.
He noted that Zolfaqar and Samsam tanks as well as several armored vehicles will also be used in this maneuver.
'Different kinds of anti-armored and anti-tank missiles as well as different air defense systems will be deployed in the Prophet Mohammad wargames,' Brigadier General Heidari said.
He noted that the Iranian Ground Force will use its capabilities in electronic warfare in the upcoming military maneuvers.
Prophet Mohammad drills will be held in a area covering the east of Strait of Hormuz to the southernmost of the Gulf of Aden from December 25 to December 31.
