Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has instructed officials of 'A' Corps, an elite group of officials, to jointly fight against corruption.

"We are talking about the fight against corruption," the president said at a meeting with 'A' Corps public servants. This is an important part of our work. We are taking all measures. Ministers, committee chairmen, deputy governors and so on are imprisoned, but such a situation continues."

He added that corruption must be completely eradicated and this work applies to public servants.

While speaking at the meeting, Nazarbayev said that public servants must be more active an in control over the execution of orders.

"There is the special programme called 'Drinking Water'," the president said. "We are working on it. This money has not been used. This means around 150 billion tenge allocated to all areas have not been used in Kazakhstan this year. That means it is lost money. We took all this back and gave it to other industries.

"We are developing healthcare. Hospitals and schools are being built. Staff is also required here. I urged the youth to go the villages after graduating from the university. Young people can go to their native villages. There are benefits. They are the backbone of the local intelligentsia. As you can see, our job has many facets."
