Production line of Paciltaxel anti-cancer drug, which is the second to none in the Middle East, has been launched today in the Rasht city, northern Iran.
The project would save the country over 140 billion rials (some $11.5 million) annually, IRNA news agency reported.
Paciltaxel is a mitotic inhibitor that is used as cancer chemotherapy drugs.
They are used in the case of ovarian, breast, as well as non-small cell lung cancer. It works by stopping the cancer cells from multiplying into new cells, thereby controlling the cancer.
