Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 March / Trend corr. E.Heseynli / The academic Hajibay Sultanov, 87, died as a result of fire on the seventh floor of the Information and Technology Institute of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences.
According to information, the fire started in the Baku office of the Shamakha Astrophysics Observatory.
An investigation has been launch into the case. .
Sultanov worked as head of the Shamakha Astrophysics Observatory department.
